Serving on the BCD Board is the most direct way to serve the downtown community and help make lasting change in Baker City.

To be considered for possible election to the Baker City Downtown Board of Directors, you must submit two forms by December 31, 2024. The Petition Form may be downloaded below. Five 2024 Supporters must sign this petition form to co-sign your application. A list of 2024 Supporters is here. The Google Form is linked below. This form must be completed to provide information for the ballots. Your forms will go to the BCD Nominating Committee for review, if selected for the ballot you will be notified by January 10. At the Annual Meeting, ballots will be tallied and the newly-elected Directors will be announced.

If elected, you agree to do the following:

• Attend monthly board meetings and attend special meetings as deemed necessary

• Attend Annual Meeting

• Attend annual Board Retreat

• Support BCD by purchasing a membership at the appropriate level

• Actively participate in at least one BCD Committee or serve on the Executive Board

• Maintain strict confidentiality as it pertains to BCD business

• Positively represent BCD throughout the community

• Expected monthly time commitment is 4-10 hours
